Eugene took birth on 12 March 1954 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. His father, Harold, and mother, Louisa Robinson, admitted him to Orangeburg High School, where he completed his schooling.
Eventually, in 1974, he joined the University of Michigan to complete his Bachelors in Arts. There, he served as the co-editor and columnist for The Michigan daily newspaper. Later, pursuing his passion, he took a break from the Washington Post and joined Harvard University and studied Journalism.
Career in Journalism
Robinson commenced his career in journalism from the San Francisco Chronicle in 1976. Later, in 1980, after four years, he joined The Washington Post. Since then, he has only moved forward in his field.
Initially, he worked as an assistant editor, but with immense toil and dedication, he soon got transferred as correspondent to Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, In 1988, Eugene shifted to London as a correspondent and served for four years. For more than a decade, Eugene served as an assistant and correspondent.
